Happy Sunday friends! Today we are packing up to head back to Charlotte to help my mom. If you are new around here my mom recently had both her knees replaced so we are splitting our time between Charlotte, NC and Charleston! I absolutely adore this Lilly Pulitzer set! I was hesitant to try it on when I first saw it since it’s so different than anything else in my closet. I kept staring at it in the store and finally worked up the courage to try it on. I fell in love as soon as I zipped up the skirt… it actually fit! I will admit, it’s a bit of a splurge but living here in Charleston, I knew I had plenty of places to wear it! I even wore to a wedding recently and received so many compliments.
Even though this set fits like a glove, I didn’t love the crop top. I’m definitely not into the crop top trend! Unfortunately, there’s no way to swap out the top but I did buy a tank to wear with the skirt so I felt a little more covered up! The skirt fits so well and is more of a maxi on me! If you are taller it will fit more like a midi skirt (as it’s intended to).
These earrings are my new go-to accessory! Pearls and gold accents are my favorite and go with so many outfits. I love that these earrings come in a regular post backing or as clip ons. My only complaint is that these earrings not nickel free, so frustrating! If you are sensitive to nickel I suggest coating the posts of the earrings with clear nail polish. These will keep your ear lobes from getting irritated! I do this almost every time or every other time I wear these earrings.
